Philanthropy Sigma Nu is THE campus leader when it comes to Philanthropic events. In recent years, we have organized events, collected funds and donated over $15,000 and countless hours to charitable organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, and many, many others. Sigma Nu focuses its philanthropic events around the notion that PEOPLE CAN HAVE FUN WHILE HELPING OTHERS! Our biggest event annually is our Coins for a Cause event held in the Kala Stroup Memorial Fountain on campus. For one day, the men of Sigma Nu and various sorority members invite the campus and surrounding community to donate money for a good cause. The event started as the Coins for Columbine event in 1999 after the tragic school shootings in Colorado.
